Welcome to Purrs and Paws

Your one-to-one professional cat and dog grooming in Grimsby.

Hi, I’m Kim, the face behind Purrs and Paws (formerly The Soggy Dog Spa). I share my home with 2 kids, 3 cats (rescue domestic short hair), and a Rottweiler and a very supportive husband!

How It All Began

The Soggy Dog Spa was born because I wanted to learn how to groom my own dog. After completing my Level 2 City & Guilds course, I was hooked! I continued learning by enrolling in the Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and, in October 2021, took the plunge by going full-time. I moved into a purpose-built log cabin designed to create the ultimate spa experience for pampered pets.

Venturing Into Cat Grooming

My passion for learning led me into the world of cat grooming, which I absolutely love!  After completing a cat grooming course in London (September 2023), I enrolled on the Ipet Level 3 Diploma in Cat Grooming and Salon Management. Cats have their own unique needs, and I’m dedicated to providing them with the same care as my canine clients. I’ve since completed the Diploma in Cat Grooming and have now completed the ICATS Master Cat Groomer Certification in April 2025. 
Since then I have placed 1st in a Cat Grooming competition, then placed 2nd and 3rd in another competition!
