Home from Home Dog Sitting

We offer a home placement service for when you are away from home.

Your dog can be placed with an experienced carer in their home and live as part of their family.

 

As a small local agency we are able to ensure the welfare of your pet whilst you are away. Many vets endorse home boarding for your dog as a much less stressful alternative to kennels.

It is our policy not to house more than 2 host dogs at a time to enable your dog to settle down quickly and enjoy their holiday. In many cases we are able to place your dog as the only dog in the home if this is more suitable.

We will send you a detailed booking form to understand your dog’s specific requiements and note normal routines so that we can match your dog to the most appropriate host available. If you have an older or nervous dog we can place him with a host who can offer a peaceful environment whilst you are away. Similarly if you have a younger lively dog, he can be homed with a sociable host family to provide the attention he needs. We will arrange an initial free of charge meeting with a selected host family. There is no commitment until this meeting has taken place and both parties are happy to proceed. In many cases we will also require a one night trial at a discounted rate.

You can be assured that your dog will not be left for long periods on their own, and as an absolute minimum, they will receive a good hour walk every day (dependant on health). Their normal routine will be kept to as much as possible.

Once your dog has been to stay we will endeavour to place them with the same host for future holidays so that they feel more settled whilst you are away.

All our hosts are carefully selected and vetted to ensure they can provide appropriate accommodation both inside and out. They are all experienced dog owners and are able to provide the attention and care dogs need.
